At the respectable age of 94, Trần Văn Khê passed away on 24th of June, 2015. His name might be new to you, if not then you’ll remember him as an extremely knowledgeable musicologist, specialised in Vietnamese music, fine musician and most of all enthusiastic man. His energy and passion were incredible, he could captivate a young audience about traditional forgotten music in a way that would make MTV jealous.
